Rules for the Application Form
- Rules, you never know where they're going to pop up and in what board, so this means you'd better pay attention right? Right.
- Please no symbols in your titles to make it "fancy." All character boards (accepted, inactive, and dead) except this one and the character logs are ordered alphabetically by thread title so any symbols would throw that system off.
- Also make it your character's full name as the title. Nicknames can be saved for character logs and in-character posts. It makes it a lot easier to find an application when the character's full name is "Xylophones Effing Cool Music" instead of looking for its nickname of "Ziggy" in the Accepted Characters board.
- STICK TO THE PROVIDED FORM. Anything you add will just have to be removed anyway, so let's just save us some time.
THE FOLLOWING RULES WERE ADDRESSED IN THE MAIN RULES BOARD BUT I FEEL IT IS IMPORTANT TO REPEAT THEM HERE ALSO
- Gray horses are NOT born gray. They are born as a different color and TURN gray with age. If I see just "gray horse" I will not be happy. Your horse must be a "something-based gray."
- Any "white" horse that has black or dark-colored points is not white. It is a whited out gray. If you want a white horse it will be a "something based dominant white" and therefore have pink skin and BLACK OR BROWN EYES, a maximal sabino, or a maximal splash. Only the maximal splash horse will be allowed blue eyes.
- Speaking of blue eyes, only horses with a splash gene, frame gene, or double cream dilutes are allowed to have blue eyes. You will have to specify which type of paint your horse is in order to have blue eyes. Sabinos cannot have blue eyes without a splash, frame, or double cream dilute gene.
- Champagne horses have AMBER eyes if their eyes are not black or brown. They are born with blue eyes which change from green to hazel but they WILL NOT stay this color. Mature champagne horses have amber eyes.
- Horses are measured in hands, which go by increments of 4 instead of increments of 10. Heights roll over at .3, so it would go 15.0; 15.1; 15.2; 15.3; 16.0.
- Breeds are not banned here, but I would rather see body type than breed. If you're unsure, list the breeds and I can tell you what body type to include.
By body type I mean hotblood, warmblood, or coldblood. Typically hotbloods are those of lighter frames and hotter temperaments (i.e. arabians, thoroughbreds, american saddlebreds, etc.), where coldbloods are heavier, more muscular, and more furry with more docile personalities (i.e. clydesdales, percherons, any draft breed), and warmbloods are in-between these (i.e. andalusian, friesians, quarter horses, etc.). You may list both breed and body type if you like, and if you want the extra research put into breed standards. I will also not allow purebred horses. So you'd probably be better off sticking to body type but I'm not limiting you to it.
Name: Full name of your horse. Age: Any horse under two years MUST have a guardian. Gender: Mare or Stallion. Species: Horse or what has been purchased from the store. Height: In hands. Coat Color: Make sure it is realistic. Markings: Any markings your character may have, such as scars, socks, a star, blaze, etc. Eye Color: Make sure they are realistic. Breeds or Body Type: List at least the body type. Breeds can be taken or left, but purebreds will not be allowed.
History: Just a quick history of your character, nothing over two paragraphs. In this tell us how your character grew up, possibly one of nomad heritage or a descendant of one of the members of the previous royal herds? Was your character raised to fear being involved with the quest to find the last king or to help in the search or are they neutral on the stance?
